Who we are

  • C.W. Montgomery feels most at home in the mountains of eastern Kentucky. He grew up in Louisa, KY, a town of less than 2,000 people on the Big Sandy river which separates Kentucky from West Virginia. At the University of Kentucky he studied Economics, but took enough Creative Writing classes to earn a minor if they ever offered such a thing. He is a published poet and has dabbled on and off in writing throughout his adult life.

C.W. has been a fan of horror since a young age starting with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark which his father would read to him before bed. One day, he was sent home from school in the second grade for writing a ghost story about a hanging for a short fiction assignment. His goal is to share these two loves with you and help you understand his heritage and love for the genre just a little better.

  • T. McAdams grew up down a holler in Vanceburg, Kentucky, a small northeastern Kentucky town that you’ve likely never heard of. He studied journalism at the University of Kentucky and received a Masters Degree in Teaching from Morehead State University. He’s been a gas station attendant, English teacher, postman, car salesman, and tech support (both professionally and non-professionally for most of his family since he was young). All that to say, while T. McAdams has very little experience writing in any sort of professional capacity, he has been a consumer of stories for as long as he can recall and hopes he can use some of what he’s learned to pass some of his own stories on to you.
